You might ask, “Why Raising the Bar?” I’m glad you asked. Raising the Bar came to me one day while I was working at State Farm Insurance. My job was to hand check 75,000 policies to make sure they were “territorize correctly.”
Needless to say, I was bored and started to think of things I could do on the web. I decided to start a weblog. Next I needed a name.
My idea was to write things that needed to be changed. Like, “Why does this happen? We can do better.” Then I thought, this will help my writing skills. I will grow up through this blog.
My name is Bryan A. Rothamel (B.A.R.). So Raising the Bar is a play on my initials and improving conditions. There you go.
On this site you can find writing I have done for news, feature and editorial writing. The subjects range from HPU to MLB to journalism. It really matters what I feel like that day.
