Spread the Love Day

Two weeks ago, my brother, the Real Estate Zebra, challenged his “herd” to spread the love on Wednesday, June 18.  What I did for “Spread the Love Day” was a simple task that I think fewer citizens would do in today’s age.

My day went as any other of my summer days this year.  I went to introduction to psychology for two hours.  Lunch quickly followed.  Then I went to global studies of eastern religion for two hours before wrapping the day with giving tours of campus.  At 6 pm I still had not spread any love.

One of my friends was working in the recreation center.  At the center’s desk was an unidentified cell phone.  My friend was scared to call someone on the phone so she was going to leave it with security.  I discovered some way for me to spread the love!

My friend had no idea to whom the phone belonged.  I quickly went through recent calls to find a safe number to call.  I figured, “Momdad” wasn’t a bad shot.  When I called they seemed puzzled but told me to put it back to where one of our school’s receptionists works.  I did so but then a man called.  I answered and he explained the situation.  The phone actually belonged to the receptionist and because she is so busy covering for people off she accidently left it.

I put it back and talked to her the next day about it.  She was so thankful to get the phone back.  So that is how I shared the love.  So there, Zebra!  What did you do to spread the love?

Depression

I have dealt with depression all of my life and only have dealt with it for just over a year.  The biggest thing is I don’t suffer from anything, I live with it.  I am working on an article for the Campus Chronicle talking about depression but right now, here is a video about it.  Enjoy!

Honesty

So my wicked cool brother, Daniel, gave me a shout out in his blog.  It does not pain me to say Daniel is pretty advanced in this web 2.0 and does some really cool, innovated things.  What can I say?  He’s cool.

I was thinking last night, “What is my favorite blog post my brother has done?”  Most of his posts have to deal with real estate so that throws out about half.  The cool thing he does is combine both real estate and real world analogies.  So even some of the real estate ones I still can understand them on a basic level.

That brings me to my favorite post, his one on honesty.  You might see a slight resemblance with the people in the video considering they are my brother, mother and father.  I hope you enjoy it and take to heart the message.  BE HONEST!!
